I am not a journaler. I tried it many times and quit by the second week, every time.
There are times when I can't talk to anybody about what I'm going through, because I don't understand my own thoughts.
But I kept making the same mistake. I would learn something, forget it, and walk into it again six months later. I wanted something that remembered for me, and every app I found wanted a streak first.
So I built the one I would actually use. Nothing to keep up with. On the days I have something, I tell Seneca and he files it. On the days I don't, nothing is waiting for me.
Then he reads it back and tells me what I keep circling. That is the whole thing.

Then talk instead. Open Seneca and answer his questions the way you'd answer a friend. He writes the entry for you, tags and all. Most people find this far easier than facing a page.
A tag is a line that starts with @. Write @lesson followed by the lesson, and that line is filed onto the @lesson timeline automatically. Any word works: @gym, @idea, @mom. The rest of your entry stays plain prose.
Seneca is the voice on the other side of the chat. He asks about your life, follows what you actually say, and turns the conversation into short tagged notes. He remembers who you are between conversations, so you're never starting over. He opens only when you open him.
